Longest Hikes in All 50 States

Preface: The other day I Googled “Longest hike in Texas” to find the Lone Star Hiking Trail that I had never known about. I’ve spent 30 years in Texas so I was surprised that it was 96 miles and no one has mentioned it throughout my many conversations about hiking in Texas. I spent some time looking at the longest hikes in other states and tried to find a comprehensive list with no luck. So I made my own. Trails like the AT (Appalachian Trail) might only touch the tip of a state so obviously it will not count as the longest hike in that state. I’m only counting the miles that are within that state’s borders. Please write us if you disagree on the information or would like us to update it. IF YOU HAVE ANY PHOTOS THAT YOU’VE CAPTURED ALONG THE BELOW TRAILS, PLEASE SEND US A JPG AND WE’LL CREDIT YOU! Enjoy the post! –JWB
